the real west on a Pack Trip. During the winter months,

at Sundance Lodge. Be sure to stop into the Trail Rider
Store for your western gifts and souvenirs!
For 50 years it has been our pleasure to uphold the backcountry tradition of riding
through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. A Holiday on horseback pack trip takes you
and fellow adventurers deep into the heart of Banff National Park. Whether you like
to rough it in rustic tent camps or relax in cozy lodges, we have the western holiday
experience for you. Our semi-permanent tent camps at Mystic Valley, Flints Park and
Stoney Creek offer all the basic necessities and canvas sleeping tents. Sundance and
Halfway Lodges add a touch of home to the backcountry with comfortable beds and the
most scenic porches in Banff National Park. Looking to take home more then a great
experience and great photos? Join one of our interpretative trips with specialists on
grizzlies, wolves, photography, and mules.
The cowboys, provided by Warner Guiding and Outfitting, will guide you through remote
valleys, forge rivers, to high alpine lakes and mountain passes. While the cooks at each
tent camp and lodge prepare up a feast that will surely fill you for the day's adventures.
The clanging of the dinner bell calls all to delicious ranch-style meals. Coffee and hot
water for tea or hot chocolate is always on. The horses, chosen especially to meet your
needs and experience, will win you over with their charming personalities and amaze you
with their abilities. A strong partnership is usually formed by ride's end.
In Banff for a shorter visit? Mount up for a Trail Ride from 1 to 7 hours in length from
Warner Stables and the Spray River Corrals in the Banff town site. Travelling with
family or groups? Check out our Wilderness Cookouts with the option of horseback
riding or covered wagon- a great activity for everyone!
The fun doesn’t end with the coming of winter. Hop on a Public Sleigh Ride with family
and friends or get cozy with that special someone on a Private Romantic Cutter. Both
offer 45 minute tours through the mountain meadow and woodland with 360degree
views. For those looking for an active winter retreat, Sundance Lodge is accessible
solely by cross-country ski or snowshoe and available for overnight stays.
So leave behind the deadlines and schedules and trade them for fresh mountain air, a
good horse and a trail that leads you to one spectacular view after another. Wildlife
viewings are always a possibility as the grizzlies, black bears, elk, and deer roam freely
throughout Banff National Park.
