If there is one positive note that comes from a time of economic crisis, it is that we all remember what is important in life and take steps towards getting back to the basics.

Friendships grow stronger, Family ties deepen and Laughter becomes medicine for the soul. Everyone also seems to be searching for a place they can go to relax, refuel and refresh whether with friends, family or the intent to create new ones.

This is probably the formula that has kept Warner Guiding & Outfitting at the top of people's minds after all these years.

For the past 47 years we have been getting back to the basics each summer with a combination of rustic tenting trips and remote lodges. There are no phones or cell reception, no TV blaring the latest decline in the stocks. Simply a babbling creek and the sounds of the horses grazing, eagle soaring or elk bugling.

Stories around the campfire reflect history, mountain lore and experiences from a lengthy career in riding through the mountains on horseback - our version of gossip around the water cooler I suppose.

For our American visitors, the decline in the Canadian dollar has gained you a substantial leeway on travel costs! Currently the Canadian dollar is around .80 Cents compared to the US dollar meaning that for every $1000 Canadian you spend your actually only spending $800 US! That is a significant savings when comparing us to US destinations with equal or higher trip costs. A definite advantage for you!

For our Canadian guests, the advantage of staying within Canada this year means retaining the value of your hard earned dollar! As well as giving you the opportunity to experience your own backyard in our Rocky Mountain playground.

Our Overseas travellers will find that their dollar is still doing well here, the Euro and the Pound are both well above 1 1/2 times more than ours meaning significant savings on the ground here in Canada.
